What neighborhood was this home in?
This Condo is located on Portland’s South Waterfront. Its 9th floor views from the Strand Condominiums are spectacular.
Who was your target buyer?
Who wouldn’t want to wake up to these views every day? First, we targeted anyone looking for a luxury condo within walking distance to the many amenities the area has to offer. But as this home is also just steps to the tram which leads to OHSU, we also knew that someone in the medical profession would definitely be a candidate. Additionally, the stunning river view would attract a buyer who enjoys entertaining or relaxing and watching the ever-changing waterscape and the view of the bridges and city.
Who was the client?
Brad Golick of LUXE Christie’s International Real Estate called us in to provide a staging proposal. He also asked us to advise his client on which of his furnishings and accessories we could incorporate into our staging. We’ve worked on some of Brad’s listings in the past. Because of these great experiences, we were excited to work with him again on this beautiful unit.
What challenges did you overcome?
We were able to successfully incorporate the owner’s dining table, credenza, and a few pieces of his artwork. What’s more, we were able to make our furnishings blend well with his table while also reflecting the lifestyle of the potential buyer.
What features were you focused on showcasing?
The view had to remain the main attraction. As a result, we focused on furniture placement and a neutral palette that blended into the city view.
The homeowner is the son of a major distillery distributer. We incorporated some of his Scotch collection into a sitting area by the office. This area looked great from all angles! Potential buyers could easily envision themselves enjoying the view and the lifestyle of the unit, or simply using the desk to catch up on work.
The river view mesmerized our entire team. Every moment, the scenery changed as boats, barges, and even swimmers drifted past. Each angle of the view was spectacular. It was inspiring to look out of the large windows as we continued our work. We were fortunate that our preferred photographer Steve Haning of Realty Tours NW was able to capture the unit and the view on such a clear day. This unit definitely is the luxury condo with penthouse views!
