We called this opulent space the Luxury Penthouse Staging.
What neighborhood was this luxury penthouse in?
The unit is located at the John Ross Condos on Portland’s South Waterfront. The building is just steps away from the South Waterfront, Portland Streetcar, and the aerial tram leading to OHSU.
What was the demographic of the target buyer?
The targeted buyer for this luxury penthouse unit would possibly be someone looking to downsize from a larger home. It could also be a professional looking for a luxury condo that has close proximity to the Waterfront, downtown, and OHSU.
Who was the client?
Brad Golik of Luxe Christie’s International recommended us to provide his client with a staging proposal. We have worked with Brad on several of his listings and always enjoy working with him and his clients.
What challenges did you overcome?
The living room in this luxury penthouse unit was a little challenging. Because the living space is such an open area, definition of this space was extremely important.
The owner left their sectional in what was formerly used as a tv-watching area. We positioned this living room sofa to face the view and added a sofa table to the back of it so the built- in area was more filled in. This allowed the spaces to be viewed as separate. Additionally, the living area now showcased the spectacular waterfront views.
The grandeur of the master suite enabled us to insert a sitting area within it. This highlighted a beautiful view of the Fremont Bridge. Buyers could now envision themselves relaxing before bed by taking in the sweeping view.
What features were you focused on showcasing?
We focused on staging the luxury penthouse unit to reflect the lifestyle of the potential client and to highlight the spectacular views. Following the homeowner’s lead on decorating the unit with grey and white, we continued the same color palette within our staging. In the end, we used her sectional and master bed and three paintings from Brad that matched the color scheme. We added some of our own art pieces and it all came together beautifully.
We loved staging this unit and couldn’t help stepping out onto the wraparound deck to enjoy the breathtaking waterfront view. The west hills are also visible from this deck. While we were at the unit at dusk, it was wonderful to watch the city lights wink on as evening came to life. We were thrilled when we saw cranes and ospreys flying right by the windows getting ready to settle in for the night. This luxury penthouse unit is a spectacular space and we enjoyed staging it!
