What was the name of this project and why?
Some homes are beautiful. Others are impressive. But every once in a while, a property comes along that feels like a love letter to the land itself — a place where architecture doesn’t just sit on a homesite, it becomes part of it.
That’s exactly why we named this project “Nature’s Architectural Dream Home.” Featured in the 2022 Street of Dreams and built by Elite Development NW, this extraordinary estate brings together everything there is to love about Oregon: sweeping vineyard views, open skies and soft evening light, and that unmistakable sense of calm that comes from living close to nature.
Set on 20 acres with a two-stall barn, a Modpool container pool, and tree-lined trails looping across the property, the home was designed to blur the boundaries between indoors and out. Every window, finish, and architectural detail celebrates the landscape rather than competing with it.
This is the kind of home you remember long after you’ve left the driveway — the kind that invites you to pause, breathe, and take in the landscape.
What neighborhood was this home in?
This home sits in Newberg in a quiet, private pocket of luxury properties near Rose Point Estates — an area surrounded by vineyards, wineries, and rolling hills.
It’s the perfect setting for someone who wants the privacy of a country retreat without sacrificing the charm and culture of Oregon wine country. From morning walks surrounded by evergreens to evenings spent watching the sun dip behind the vines, this neighborhood offers peace, beauty, and a lifestyle rooted in nature.
What was the demographic of the target buyer?
The potential buyer for this estate is likely a professional who loves both country living and modern conveniences. They enjoy an active, outdoor-driven lifestyle and appreciate being close to wineries, scenic trails, and local restaurants.
This is also someone who values hosting and connection — the home includes a fully separate guest apartment complete with its own kitchen, offering comfort and privacy for long-term visitors, multigenerational living, or out-of-town guests. It’s the kind of property that invites gatherings, celebrations, and effortless hospitality.
Who was the client?
Our Realtor partner Wendy Martin hired us to stage this luxury estate. Wendy brings a deep passion for countryside homes and understands just how much thoughtful staging can elevate a listing of this caliber. Her properties always hit the market looking polished and truly ready to shine. And we’re always honored to help bring her vision to life.
What challenges did you overcome?
With views this breathtaking, our biggest design rule was simple: Don’t compete with nature.
To highlight the panoramic scenery and the home’s beautiful architectural details, we focused on earth tones, natural textiles, and an understated palette that enhanced the surroundings rather than distracted from them.
In the living room, we paired a tan leather sofa with an oak table, pulling in the warmth of the oak floors and echoing the texture of the fireplace. Dark grey chairs and black accents helped draw the eye toward the windows, and ultimately, the view itself.
In the hallway, we continued these earthy textures and colors to complement the stairway’s architectural lines and the dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows. The goal: create a visual flow that gently guides you through the home while keeping the outdoors as the main attraction.
What features were you focused on showcasing?
The home’s seamless indoor-outdoor connection was our north star for the entire staging process.
The expansive Nano doors, which open to the outdoor patio and pool, create an uninterrupted transition between the living spaces, so our staging needed to support that sense of openness and harmony.
Warm woods and contemporary lines in the dining room helped maintain the clean, modern aesthetic while echoing the natural tones just outside the window.
In the primary suite, we selected a credenza that matched the wood slat partition, then layered in a grey velveteen comforter to draw attention to the dramatic wood paneling behind the bed. The result was serene, restful, and perfectly aligned with the home’s architectural warmth.
For the guest apartment, we introduced a bistro table to highlight the apartment’s independent kitchen and added warm, earthy colors to create a cozy, welcoming retreat — ideal for guests who may want a little extra privacy.
Our Imagine crew had an unforgettable time staging this home. The views alone were enough to make every moment feel special — from the soft sunrise light spilling across the floors to the long, golden evenings stretching over the valley.
We joked more than once that we wished we had actual horses on hand to stage the barn, because truly, this home feels like it’s waiting for them. Even without them, the entire property radiates tranquility, possibility, and that “dream home” magic you can feel the second you arrive.
This is one of those rare projects that reminds us why we love what we do.
