Featured Home Staging: The Beaverton Traditional

What was the name of this home staging project and why?

We named this staging the Beaverton Traditional. We found it more mainline than our past contemporary traditional staging or our elegant traditional staging.

What neighborhood was this home in?

You can find this home in Beaverton’s Sexton Mountain area. It’s just minutes from the new restaurant scene in downtown Beaverton. And only steps away from miles of walking trails and acres of natural areas.

What was the demographic of the target buyer?

Our target buyer for this home was a family looking for a place in a quiet neighborhood. There are many local amenities and it’s within walking distance to Sexton Mountain Elementary School, which ranks extremely high on the Great Schools website.

Who was your client?

Our client and partner Breylan Deal-Erickson of Windermere recommended the homeowner stage their home in order to position it well in the market and to receive the best possible selling price. We have worked with Breylan on several homes and between our staging and his marketing skills, our staged homes sell just days after hitting the market.

What challenges did you overcome?

Our only challenge was to make sure we had the right sized furnishings in the main living areas in order to make those areas look more spacious.

To accomplish this, we used a round wood table in the formal dining area, which kept the doorway entrance accessible.

We used neutral colors to help create a cozy feel in this Beaverton Traditional Home Staging

We staged the family room with a smaller sofa to fit the space and staged the rest of the room to feel cozy and inviting.

What features were you focused on showcasing?

The fireplace in the living room and the vaulted ceilings were this home’s best features. They were the first things a potential buyer would see upon entry of the home.

To keep the fireplace as the star of the living area, our furniture placement drew the eye straight to it. By using neutral warm tones, we brought out the wood flooring and complemented the fireplace brick. Overall, our furniture choices made this room feel more spacious.

We made the fireplace front and center in this beautiful home

Because this home is so close to an elementary school, we also staged one of the bedrooms for a child.

Because there was an elementary school nearby, we staged one bedroom as a child's room

Our team is excited that due to our staging process and intentionality, combined with the incredible marketing and expertise from the Realtor, this Beaverton Traditional home had 74 showings and received 22 offers!
