What was the name of this project and why?
This beautiful home built in 1915 has unique character, including the original leaded and stained glass windows. The bathrooms and kitchen have been fully remodeled with beautiful yet functional features. Because it’s in Multnomah Village and has such beautiful updates and original features, we called it The Village Gem Staging.
What neighborhood was this home in?
The Village Gem is located in the historic town of Multnomah Village, a hip and unique area in southwest Portland that is replete with locally owned restaurants, galleries, and shops. The area is also home to the Multnomah Arts Center, a vibrant program of Portland Parks & Recreation that provides high-quality instruction and participation in the visual and performing arts to all.

Breylan Deal Erickson of Deal and Company recommended our services to his client. Breylan recommends our home staging service to all his clients with vacant homes, as it ensures that they experience a quick and profitable home sale.
What challenges did you overcome in this Village Gem staging?
About 10 years ago, we staged this same home. Our only challenge then and now was making sure buyers could easily envision the use of each room. Using the versatile space just off the living room to fit today’s modern lifestyle. This became a private office with glass French doors, keeping everything light and airy. Since the living area is narrow, we staged with minimal furnishings and a glass coffee table to open the room.
What features did you showcase?
We wanted the buyers to notice the amazing original features of the home, so we used a smaller sized sofa to ensure we didn’t block the view of the stunning leaded glass window.
We staged the dining room with a medium-sized table and low-profile chairs to show off the original wainscoting.
The primary bedroom had a private patio with French doors. We staged the patio with a small table and chairs and used a wood framed bed to complement the natural wood floors.
The smallest bedroom had an incredible view of the trees through a unique window. We staged this room with a daybed so buyers could envision many uses for the room.
This Village Gem staging went pending almost immediately, and we weren’t surprised! We loved staging this home for a second time with incredible results.
The homeowner was so happy with the staging, she wrote us a 5 star review on Google.
