Featured Project: The Sweetbriar Property

What was the name of this project and why?

We named this project The Sweetbriar Property because it is located on Sweetbriar Road in West Linn.

The Sweetbriar Property needed low profile furnishings to highlight the view

Who was the target buyer?

With its 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, we determined that the targeted buyer for this home would be an active, modern family with children. The Sweetbriar Property rests on 4.5 acres with sweeping territorial views and its own natural stream, so there’s room for everyone.

The target family enjoys outdoor activities and also appreciate the home’s built-in gym for working out. The buyer entertains a lot and enjoys the large spacious kitchen, the large dining area, and the bonus room with a built-in wet bar. There’s even a wine cellar.

Who was the client?

Long time client Stacy Hendrickson of Wild Hare Properties asked us to stage this home built by Mountainwood Homes. Her homes are always stunning and we enjoy working with her. Partnering  with Stacy on such a spectacular project allowed us to end up with an amazing finished masterpiece!

What challenges did you overcome?

Buyers would notice the the entry and living room right upon entering the home. As such, we needed to be sure the living room furniture didn’t overwhelm the stunning view. We staged the living room with low profile furnishings so buyers would immediately notice the large picture window and the amazing natural landscape.

We staged the Sweetbriar Property with recycled wood to stay with the sustainable lifestyle

The entry needed a large, remarkable piece of art since the ceilings reached 18ft. We ordered a custom-sized piece of contemporary art work which fit the space well and worked perfectly.

What features did you focus on showcasing?

The Sweetbriar Property has such incredible finishes that we wanted to make sure the staging didn’t compete or overwhelm any of the details.

We staged most of our hard surface pieces out of recycled wood in order to stay with the sustainable lifestyle.

The home’s view with its private natural landscape was another feature we wanted to be sure to focus on. We used many natural elements and worked to keep a contemporary yet rustic look that stayed within the lifestyle of the targeted buyer.

The Sweetbriar Property's master bath is a delightful escape

Our whole team thoroughly enjoyed working on The Sweetbriar Property. It was so beautifully finished and located on such a great piece of property.
